The mission of re:Created is to create beautiful things out of other things and inspire people to make something beautiful out of their lives. Without Christ, our human nature tends to cause us to be a mess. But, in Christ we are made new. He makes something beautiful out of us.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
2 Corinthians 5:17
re:Created items are made out of smashed coins, recycled and upcycled products. Each piece of jewelry is made to order, with words that are meant to inspire, encourage, and bring life.

The Jewelry Maker
I am Carly Gerdau, the founder and jewelry maker at re:Created. I am an Alabama native with a traveller's heart. As a graduate of the University of North Alabama with a degree in Secondary Education and a concentration in Family and Consumer Science, I have a love for fashion, design, and food. After I graduated from college I started re:Created as a way to be creative while inspiring others to do the same.
I currently reside in Hamilton, Alabama where I run re:Created out of my home. I am also a part of a ministry called The Ramp, whose mission is to awaken young people to the presence of God. My typical day consists of making jewelry, smashing pennies, instagramming, drinking (lots of) coffee, cooking healthy(ish) foods, serving at The Ramp and constant spontaneity with friends. It is my desire to see everyone that I know excel in their creative potential. We all have creativity inside of us, and the world needs the creativity that we have.
